Agriculture Courses have the science and practice of growing plants and raising livestock which played a vital role and an important step in the growth of human civilization since it started producing food surplus that allowed people to live away from farms. Eligibility Criteria
Admissions are based on Merit as well as on the Entrance exam wherein the candidate’s ability to pursue the studies is based on the result scores of class 12 and entrance exams.
Before enrolling for the application process for admission to the agriculture courses, aspirants must first check out the qualifying requirements.
- UG Level:- Candidates must have successfully completed 12th in the Science stream with at least 45% – 50% aggregate marks in aggregate.
- PG Level:- Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with at least 45% – 50% marks in aggregate.
Admission Process
- The admission process for agriculture courses is different for every institute.
- Some institutions enroll students only on the basis of an entrance exam, while other institutes may admit students based on their performance in their 12th grade.
- Admission is based on merit, and because agriculture is so important to the Indian economy, there have to be more educated young people in this sector to operate it intelligently and efficiently.
Admission Type
Direct Admission – Some private institutions also provide direct admission based on merit in the qualifying test. An entrance test is not required for admission.
National/State Level Admission- The candidates must be registered for enrolling in the entrance examination for admission. The seats would be allocated through the counseling procedure based on the exam scores earned by the candidates.
Institute-Level Admission – Some institutes also have their own admissions examinations. Candidates must sit and pass the examination. Some institutes do a personal interview phase following the admission exam. Admission will be granted to aspirants based on their acquired total score.
