University of Delhi recently opened its PhD admission process for the academic session 2024-25. Students willing to fill the online admission form can visit Delhi University’s official admission website admission.uod.ac.in. The last date to submit the application is December 4, 2024 hence all the applicants are advised to fill the form as soon as possible and not to wait for last minute inconsistency.
The application will require personal details, educational qualifications, payment. Moreover, candidates are advised to review the eligibility criteria and submit all necessary documents as per the guidelines available on the portal.
The admission process involves two stages of selection, first is entrance examination and second is interview round. To be eligible for the PhD programs, all the candidates must carry a master’s degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% marks. For candidates from reserved categories, there is a relaxation in the minimum percentage as per the government’s norms. Also, some seats are reserved for candidates who have qualified for the National Eligibility Test (NET) or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), i.e. students who have qualified NET and JRF exams are exempt from the entrance examination and can directly appear for the interview stage.
The Delhi University’s PhD 2024 registration process will end on December 4, 2024, after that the interview round will take place from December 6 onwards. The interviews will be conducted by the departments and centres till January 4, 2025. The registering candidates will also require to pay the application fees. The registration fees for SC/ST/PwD category is Rs. 300 while for General/ OBC/ EWS category the fees is Rs. 750. The last date to pay the application fees is January 14, 2025.
