Salary (approximate) : Rs.10,000-20,000 per month for qualified newbies in India and go up to Rs. 50,000 with a few years of experience. Global experience as a sommelier may provide a salary of almost a lakh per month.
VOICE OVER ARTIST
Do you have a perfectly textured voice that is showered with compliments every time you say ‘hello?’ over the phone or otherwise? Then you might as well put that to good use and make a well paid career out of it!
A voice over artist basically dubs dialogues for television, radio, cinema and other broadcast related industries. This can be pursued as a subset of Mass Communication.
Salary (approximate) : Rs.5000-8000 per episode depending on the complexity and length of the material. Rs.15,000-20,000 for corporate films/documentaries. Rs.25,000-50,000 for commercial full-length films.
SPORTS COMMENTATOR
Have a flair for sports and love to lend a voice? A Career as a sports commentator does not only help you follow your passion for sports and earn quite a handsome amount of money but also earns you fame once you have made a place in the industry. This can be pursued as a subset of mass communication.
Salary (approximate) : Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 10,000 per day depending upon the length/sport/complexity of the episode. More the experience, the better the salary hike.
