Preparations are in full swing to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Delhi University.
Work is progressing rapidly in the university’s stadium . PM Modi will be the chief guest at the centenary celebration of Delhi University, which will take place on June 30th alongwith Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. A senior DU official said that the invitation was sent to the Prime Minister and he has also agreed to it. Professor Yogesh Singh, the Vice-Chancellor of Delhi University, informed that the Prime Minister will stay in the university for about an hour and a half. LED screens will be installed in all colleges and the university for live broadcasting.

The Vice-Chancellor also mentioned that around four thousand people will be present at the
event to be held in the Multipurpose hall of the sports complex of the university.
The Vice-Chancellor stated that this is a centenary year for Delhi University and holds great
significance. Throughout this year, we have introduced several new courses and made
numerous announcements. The culmination of this centenary year will take place on June
30th.
It is worth noting that Delhi University commenced its centenary celebrations on May 1,
2022. On the occasion of the university’s Foundation Day, an inaugural event was organized.
Back then, the former Vice President of India, Venkaiah Naidu, was the chief guest at this
program. Alongside the Vice President, distinguished guest Dharmendra Pradhan was also
present at the inaugural ceremony.
