This year, Delhi University added three new B.Tech programmes. DU is going to open a new
registration platform for those seeking admission to these programmes. By the end of this
month, DU will have a brand-new portal prepared just for these courses. Interested
applicants for B.Tech admissions will be able to use the new portal once it is complete. One
of the three courses available on the portal must be chosen by the students.
Beginning this academic year, Delhi University will offer three new B’s.Tech. programmes in
computer science and engineering, communication engineering, and electronics and
electrical engineering. There are 120 allotted seats for each course. Candidates who meet
the prerequisites and perform well on the entrance exam will be admitted to this course.
Counselling fee to be paid
Learners will have time to indicate their preferences before seats are assigned, based on
their preferences. According to the student’s preferences and their JEE Main merit score,
seats will be assigned. Candidates would need to pay a registration and counselling fee of
INR 1500 to be admitted to these courses. For updates on admissions, students are urged to frequently check the official website.
Students are admitted to these courses purely based on their JEE Main scores. There is no
need to give the CUET (Central University Entrance Test) for the same.
As told by officials registration will be different from the CSAS system which was used for
admission in b tech in IT and mathematical innovation offered by Delhi University.
Students have the option to leave the programme in between
Additionally, as per the National Education Policy, students will also have the option to
discontinue the course in the middle. When students complete one year, they will be
awarded a certificate. After two years, they will be honoured with a diploma. Upon
completion of three years of study along with credits, they will be awarded an advanced
diploma. After the completion of four years, students will be awarded the B.Tech degree.
